Software Engineer

We're looking for a Software Engineer with strong Laravel, PHP and modern JavaScript framework experience (particularly Vue.js) to help develop and evolve our cloud-based print-on-demand platform.

You'll be encouraged to embrace modern development practices, AI-assisted engineering, and continuous improvement while working with a contemporary technology stack. If you're passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and enjoy solving real business problems with technology, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will be doing as a Software Engineer:

Design, develop, and maintain software features and functionalities using core programming languages like PHP, Laravel, SQL, JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS

Contribute to the enhancement of the software development lifecycle for efficiency and effectiveness, participating actively in code reviews and technical scrums

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the platform's architecture, contributing to scalability and optimising performance

Identify, debug, and resolve software bugs and issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the software

Contribute to cloud infrastructure design and troubleshooting, learning about reliability, security, and cost-awareness

Use the latest agentic AI coding tools effectively in day-to-day development

What we're looking for:

Commercial experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases

Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing and code reviews

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
